Mar Thoma Syrian Church, Guwahati is the first Mar Thoma Church in the North Eastern region of India.
It was started as a small congregation, later it was consecrated as a church in the year 1974.
The church is located in the heart of the city of Guwahati.
Rev. Philip Thomas was the first vicar of the Mar Thoma Syrian Church, Guwahati.
Two decades before there were more than fifty families, due to migration of the members to their hometown presently there are only five families worshiping in the church.
