St. Luke's Secondary School, Bharatpur is located in Bharatpur city in Rajasthan. It is located some 500 meters away from Bharatpur - Ajmer National Highway. This city has been known for its religious nature and preservation of tradition and culture of the land. The celebration of events and festivals shows the colorful nature of the people and the land. ST. LUKE'S SECONDARY SCHOOL is operated by the Northern India Zonal Assembly Society of Delhi Diocese of the Mar Thoma Church. Because of the strong faith, conviction, courage, determination and perseverance of our Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Gregorios Mar Stephanos Episcopa, we could own this School under the umbrella of Northern India Zonal Assembly Society. We indebted much to Thirumeni.
Education has changed in its concept and dimensions in the modern times. The total and integral development of a student is the target. The world is heading towards a global transformation in education challenging how to provide a dynamic digital infrastructural system for the students and to promote their experiments with the cyber world of today.
In the reporting year the school had a strength of 350 students from Nursery to 8th standard. The school provides education in CBSE pattern. The students are provided quality education through qualified teachers. Right now the school has the services of Rev.Sujin Varghese(Administrator) 10 teachers and 2 non teaching staff.
Activities:
1. Independence Day:
During the academic session the school celebrated India’s Independence Day. Rev. Sujin Varghese (Administrator) hosted the flag and various cultural programs of the students were conducted.
2. Teacher’s day:
Teacher’s day is a special day for the appreciation of Teachers. Every year on Sep 5th the school celebrates the teachers day. The teachers are given gifts by the students. The students of the class 8 served as the teachers for lower class.
3. Children’s day:
Every year we celebrate Children’s Day on November 14th .On this special day the students are given some awareness class on the rights, care, and education of children by the administrator.
4. Kho-kho competition:
During the academic session our school got an opportunity to host CBSE Ajmeer region kho-kho competition. Participants from different schools of the corresponding region had come to the programme. It was inaugurated by our beloved bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Grgregorios Mar Stephanos Episcopa
5. Sports Day:
The School conducts Sports Day every year. The sports day was inaugurated by the SDM Khumeer. Students participated actively and prices were distributed for the winners after all competition
6. Parents Teachers Meet:
In order to accomplish better development of the student, parent’s teachers meetings are organized periodically. Special meetings are conducted with parents whose children need improvement in various areas.
Conclusion:
The School has been experiencing divine grace and protection all throughout these years. The Guidance and timely instructions of the Chairman Rt. Rev. Dr. Gregorios Mar Stephanos Episcopa has been helpful for the progress of the school. The School also thanks all the well wishers and supporters who have been caring for the school through prayers and material support. May God Almighty help us to work together for the extension of His Kingdom.
